Preparations have begun in Tartu's Jaamamõisa district for the construction of a building with social housing apartments at Tüve 6. The new building is intended for disadvantaged Tartu residents who need municipal housing.

In the same area, two previously completed social housing buildings already stand – Tüve 2 and Tüve 4 – which together provide 56 apartments. They were occupied by residents in early 2022 and have since provided homes to many people in need.

The completion of the new building will help ease the demand for social housing in Tartu, where the need for affordable living space remains persistently high.
