Around Midsummer, an artistic project was completed in the village of Leevi in Tori municipality, where sculptor Elo Liiv and stonemasons crafted a stone base for a bronze figure that resembles a snowdrift, using a stone foundation that unites ice-age material, a historical sledge, and contemporary sculpture.

In the courtyard of Levikivi stone workshop in the village of Leevi in Tori municipality, a busy team has been working since Midsummer, creating a unique artistic composition-a bronze figure depicting a man in winter clothing pushing a Estonian sledge has been placed on a stone base that resembles a snowdrift.

The project involved local stonemason Raul Randväli, sculptor Elo Liiv, and Dmitri Sokolov. The team's shared goal was to create a foundation that would establish a visual connection with ice-age stone material and complement the bronze figure's narrative with an appropriate setting.

The stone base's form was inspired by snowdrifts created during blizzards, whose shapes the stonemasons carefully carved into stone. The result is a work where ice-age natural material, an Estonian-era sledge, and contemporary sculpture form a unified whole.
