CultureAmerican actress Amanda Seyfried had to hire personal bodyguards after making comments about right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, as Kirk's supporters misinterpreted her remarks.
It all started when Seyfried commented on a summary video of Kirk's statements. "He is full of hate," the actress said at the time, briefly. That sentence was enough, however, for the activist's supporters to begin directing threats and aggressive attention toward the actress, which forced her to worry about her safety.
Despite the mounting pressure, Seyfried has given no indication that she intends to apologize for what she said. The actress stands by her words and will not be intimidated by public backlash.
