Ain Hanschmidt: Infortar's Market Value Is Breathing Down LHV Group's Neck on Tallinn Stock Exchange

Infortar CEO Ain Hanschmidt said in an interview that the company's market value on the Tallinn Stock Exchange is rising above LHV Group. At the same time, he acknowledged that it is increasingly difficult to find good assets at fair prices in the Baltics, and that the end of war and political ambition would help stimulate the economy.

Economy

Infortar CEO Ain Hanschmidt gave an extensive interview in which he described how his investment holding company has grown to become one of the most influential players on the Tallinn Stock Exchange, with the company's market value approaching LHV Group's level and threatening to overtake it soon.

Investment Opportunities Are Scarce

According to Hanschmidt, Infortar is actively seeking new investment opportunities, but in the Baltics it is becoming increasingly difficult to find good assets at fair prices. "In some ways, it is already hard to find good assets at fair prices in the Baltics," he said. For this reason, in addition to the home market, the company is also looking further afield, and finding alternatives requires serious effort at present.

The company's active investment strategy means that management constantly monitors both stock price movements and possible acquisition and expansion deals. Hanschmidt emphasized that capital does not sit idle; money is available and so is the desire to put it to good use.

End of War Would Give Economy a Boost

Infortar's chief also highlighted the broader economic picture. In his view, the end of the war in Ukraine is one of the most important factors that would help revive the regional economy. In addition, it is important for politicians to set ambitious goals and pursue them-only in this way can things in the economy truly improve.

However, Hanschmidt refuses to be discouraged by pessimism. "It's not that money is gone," with this remark he made clear that the investment environment is challenging but not hopeless, and Infortar still has both the capital and the will to enter new sectors.
