Tallinn's historic Põhjala Factory will once again become the epicentre of Baltic design culture as Disainiöö — the region's largest design festival — returns for its 21st edition. Running from September 28 to October 4, the week-long event promises to unite some of the most influential voices in the global design community.

This year's festival theme, «Future of Product Design» / «Tootedisaini tulevik», places the spotlight on the evolving role of product design in a rapidly changing world. Key areas of focus include sustainability, adaptability, inclusivity, and material consciousness — issues that are increasingly shaping the direction of the global design industry.

Over 100 events of varying formats are planned throughout the week, ranging from workshops and exhibitions to talks and networking sessions. Participants will include prominent designers and creative thinkers from Estonia as well as international guests, cementing Disainiöö's reputation as a world-class gathering for the design community.

Now in its third decade, Disainiöö has grown from a local initiative into one of the most respected design festivals in Northern Europe. The choice of Põhjala Factory as its venue — a beautifully repurposed industrial space in Tallinn — underscores the festival's commitment to merging heritage with forward-thinking creativity.
