CultureCellist Silvia Ilves (33) and businessman Marek Nõmmik (51) were married on 22 June 2026 at Taevaskoja, exactly one year after their romance began. Last December, Nõmmik gave Ilves an impressive yellow diamond engagement ring, and the couple is finally heading down the aisle.
The ceremony was held at the sandstone cliff face of Taevaskoja, where an elegant ceremony space has been set up. A lavender-purple runner led to the altar, and enormous floral arrangements carried the same lavender tone. After the ceremony, the celebration continued at Valgesoo, where a large wedding tent specially erected for the event stood, with costs reportedly reaching €40,000 according to Elu24.
The wedding colours are purple and gold, which were reflected in both the decorations at the ceremony site and the furnishings of the reception space. Among the guests were makeup artist Marju Karin with her fiancé Mauno-Martin Blonde and coach Epp Kärsin.
TV presenter Katrin Lust filmed the wedding and producing a special programme about the mega-event, which will air on Kanal 2.
Just a year ago, in June 2025, Silvia Ilves announced at the Estonian Entertainment Awards gala that she was "taking a break from men". Life had other plans, and now the cellist had a diamond on her finger and a new chapter ahead.
