Denmark allocates €590 million in military aid to Ukraine

War in Ukraine enters its 1,589th day. Denmark's defence ministry announced that the country will provide Ukraine with a €590 million military aid package. Battles continue to concentrate in eastern and southern Ukraine.

Today, 1 July 2026, marks the 1,589th day of war in Ukraine. Vladimir Putin launched Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022, initiating attacks on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. After Ukrainian forces repelled the assault on Kyiv, the centre of fighting shifted to eastern and southern Ukraine.

Denmark's military support grows

Denmark's defence ministry announced that the country will provide Ukraine with military aid worth €590 million. This is a significant contribution that reaffirms Denmark's continued commitment to supporting Ukraine against Russian aggression.

Ukraine's allies have provided Kyiv with billions of euros in military, economic and humanitarian aid since the start of the war. Denmark's latest aid announcement adds to this volume, underscoring that Western allies have not backed away from supporting Ukraine even after more than four years of war.
