Disc golf festival in Tallinn: Eveliina Salonen leads, Keiti Tätte makes hole in one

On the opening day of the European disc golf festival held at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds, Finnish player Eveliina Salonen was the best in the women's category with a cumulative score of -9. The best Estonian, Keiti Tätte, finished the day with a score of +1 and placed 14th, but impressed the home crowd with a memorable hole in one.

The opening day of the European disc golf festival at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds awarded first place in the women's category to Finnish player Eveliina Salonen, who achieved a cumulative score of -9 and beat American Missy Gannon by two strokes. Third place was taken by Norwegian Anniken Kristiansen Steen, finishing three strokes behind the leader.

The best Estonian finished the day with Keiti Tätte scoring +1, which placed her 14th in the overall standings. However, Tätte left her mark on the day by making a hole in one in front of the home crowd.

"I was quite frustrated with the course leading up to that," admitted Tätte, referring to the emotional ups and downs she experienced during the competition. The ace made in front of the home crowd eased the tension and provided fans with a special moment.

The European disc golf festival at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds is one of the biggest events of the season for Estonian disc golf and a rare opportunity for home players to compete at an elite international tournament in front of their own fans.
