Estonia approves Tesla self-driving cars on its roads

The Transport Authority has recognized type approval for Tesla's FSD system issued by the Dutch traffic authority. This means Estonian drivers will soon be able to use Tesla's most advanced driver assistance system on Estonian roads.

Technology

Tesla's most advanced driver assistance technology – Full Self-Driving (FSD) system – may soon be seen on Estonian roads. The Transport Authority has recognized type approval issued by the Dutch traffic authority, which paves the way for FSD use in Estonia as well.

FSD is an advanced driver assistance system developed by Tesla that enables a vehicle to perform many driving-related tasks with a greater degree of autonomy. The Dutch traffic authority's type approval is an important step, as it means the system complies with EU requirements and is now officially available for use in Estonia.

The Transport Authority's decision makes Estonia one of the countries where Tesla's FSD technology can legally be used in traffic based on EU-compliant approval. This gives Estonian Tesla vehicle owners the opportunity to implement the innovative system in full in the near future.
