Estonia under thunderstorm warning: hail, strong winds and rain expected

Estonia is under a thunderstorm warning issued for Sunday, 28 June, in the evening as atmospheric conditions are conducive to the development of severe storms. The environmental agency warns that thunderstorms may bring hail, strong winds and heavy precipitation.

Thunderstorms have already been felt on Saaremaa, with a local resident describing vividly how the storm passed violently across the island. "It thundered, roared and poured, and even knocked out the power once," they said after the storm passed. So in some parts of Estonia, the weather has already shown its hand.
