Evelin Ilves visited as godmother of rescue ship Kindral Kurvits in Pärnu

Evelin Ilves (58) is the godmother of the rescue ship Kindral Kurvits and visited the vessel at Jannsen Quay in Pärnu over the weekend. Mayor Kristel Voltenberg hosted a ceremonial reception with a brass band for the guest.

A ceremonial event took place over the weekend at Pärnu's Jannsen Quay when the rescue ship Kindral Kurvits docked at the city quay and welcomed its godmother Evelin Ilves.

The 58-year-old Evelin Ilves holds a special place as the ship's godmother and came to Pärnu to get to know the vessel thoroughly. Pärnu Mayor Kristel Voltenberg (57) had organized a ceremonial reception in honor of the guest, which included performances by a brass band as well as a formal assembly of the ship's crew.
