CultureThe Faroese folk metal band Týr will bring its "Valhalla Calling Europe Tour" to Tallinn in December, a European concert tour that follows the release of the band's tenth studio album.
With more than two decades of activity, Týr is known for its Nordic mythology, epic melodies, and powerful riffs, through which the band has established itself as one of the most important names in contemporary folk metal. After a successful performance on the Paganfest 2025 tour, the band returned to the Faroe Islands to write and record new material. European audiences will hear fresh songs on the tour for the first time on stage, alongside the band's classic anthems.
Strong international line-up
The Tallinn concert will be enriched by a diverse international guest line-up. Sweden's Twilight Force brings symphonic power metal to the stage, with fast guitar riffs, powerful melodies and full fantasy world energy. Also from Sweden, Dragonland is a long-established band whose music is characterized by powerful choruses, melodic keyboard parts, and high fantasy-inspired storytelling. The evening will open with Dutch folk metal band Vanaheim, whose work is at once epic, atmospheric, and heavy.
Public ticket sales for Týr's Tallinn concert begin on Piletilevi on 19 June at 11.00.
