Former Valga Municipality Mayor Demands Damages from Ester Karus Through Court

Former Valga Municipality Mayor Monika Rogenbaum has filed a lawsuit against politician Ester Karus and media company Duo Media. The dispute concerns a story published in the TV programme "Kuuuurija", in which Rogenbaum was allegedly accused without foundation of embezzling Taheva Municipality assets.

Former Valga Municipality Mayor Monika Rogenbaum has turned to the court, demanding compensation from former Valga Municipality Mayor Ester Karus and media company Duo Media. The dispute is connected to a story published in the television programme "Kuuuurija", in which Rogenbaum was accused of embezzling Taheva Municipality assets.

According to Rogenbaum, the accusations presented in the programme were unfounded and damaged her reputation. In the court case, she is demanding financial compensation for the harm caused.

Duo Media is the production company behind the "Kuuuurija" programme and is responsible for the content published in the programme. Ester Karus previously also held the position of Valga Municipality Mayor. The further course of the court case will become clear during the proceedings.
