Giant five-star hotel rises on Poland's Baltic coast
A new large five-star hotel opens this week in Pobierowo on Poland's Baltic coast, featuring 1,240 rooms, a water park and a record-breaking outdoor pool. The hotel opening marks an ambitious step forward for tourism in the Baltic region, aiming to attract Europeans who have previously favoured Mediterranean resorts.
EconomyPobierowo on Poland's Baltic coast is preparing to welcome its first guests this week at a new giant five-star hotel that promises to transform the region's tourism landscape.
The hotel offers 1,240 rooms, a water park entertainment area and an outdoor pool with dimensions exceeding Olympic standards by more than twofold. Such a facility is unprecedented on the Baltic coast.
So far, European holidaymakers have mostly headed to the Mediterranean, to Spain, Italy and Greece. Pobierowo's new luxury hotel has a clear objective: to attract these travellers to the Baltic shore instead, offering top-class amenities and a large water centre in the same location.
Baltic coastal tourism has grown in recent years, but an investment of this scale is rare here. The project demonstrates that developers believe in the region's potential in the high-end tourism sector.
