Võru was hit by heavy rainfall on Wednesday evening, 3 June, creating significant water accumulations on the roads. At the end of the working day, several drivers had to significantly reduce their speed to safely navigate through water pools tens of centimetres deep.

A short video clip was uploaded to a Facebook weather enthusiasts' group showing water accumulated on the streets. The video generated a lively reaction among users, prompting it to be widely shared on social media.

The Võru region is occasionally hit by intense summer storms that bring a large amount of precipitation in a short space of time. Such sudden and heavy rainfall bursts can create brief flooding and make traffic more difficult.
