Karl Johan Lips leaves Tartu and joins Polish club Ostrów Wielkopolski

Tartu University Maks & Moorits basketball player Karl Johan Lips is leaving Estonia after winning the championship and joining Polish top-tier club Ostrów Wielkopolski Stal. The Polish club is familiar to Estonian fans, as it has previously hosted Estonian basketball players.

Estonian basketball player Karl Johan Lips, who helped Tartu University Maks & Moorits win the Estonian championship this season, is heading abroad for the next season. Lips has signed a contract with Polish top-tier club Ostrów Wielkopolski Stal.

Ostrów Wielkopolski Stal is not an unfamiliar name to Estonian basketball fans – the club has previously given Estonian players the opportunity to test themselves at a higher level. Lips continues this tradition, taking a step up in level following a successful season in Estonia.

Lips was one of the key players who helped Tartu's team become champions during the season. Now awaits him a new challenge in the Polish basketball league.
