PoliticsEstonia's government held its weekly press conference on Thursday, where Economy and Industry Minister Erkki Keldo highlighted an important clarification regarding minors' employment. According to Keldo, it can now be clearly stated that a 15-year-old can legally mow lawns and perform similar work.
Attending the press conference alongside Keldo were Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna and Regional Affairs and Agriculture Minister Hendrik Johannes Terras. The meeting took place at Toompea and addressed several topical issues.
Rules concerning minors' employment have previously caused confusion among both employers and young people themselves. The new clarifications will help both sides better understand which jobs are permitted for teenagers and under what conditions.
