Keyboard player René Puura celebrates five years with Terminaator
René Puura, keyboard player for the legendary Estonian band Terminaator, marked his five-year anniversary with the band this May. The 39-year-old musician says it feels like he has found a second family, and credits friendship and trust as the secret to his longevity in the band.
CultureRené Puura, keyboard player for one of Estonia's most renowned rock bands Terminaator, has now been with the band for five years, a milestone that arrived this May. The 39-year-old musician approaches this with restraint but warmth.
"It feels like I've found a second family," says Puura. The bond he has formed with his bandmates is more than just a professional relationship, he says-it is friendship and mutual trust that keeps them together both on stage and off.
Puura does not consider five years a remarkable milestone, but rather a natural phase. "I think it doesn't mean much at this point. Five years isn't such a significant amount of time, but it's been a really great ride," he says. In his view, the key to long-term collaboration is not just professionalism, but above all human compatibility and the feeling of being part of something bigger.
Terminaator is one of Estonia's longest-running and most beloved bands, and their repertoire and audience appeal show no signs of waning. René Puura's joining the band in 2021 brought fresh energy to the lineup, which has since become an integral part of the band's unified whole.
