Kullamäe's Lietkabelis lose opening semifinal against Žalgiris Kaunas

Estonian basketball player Kristian Kullamäe's club Lietkabelis from Panevėžys lost the first game of the Lithuanian league semifinal series to Žalgiris Kaunas 75:85. The defeat came shortly after Kullamäe's departure from the team.

Panevėžys-based Lietkabelis, the Lithuanian club of Estonian national team player Kristian Kullamäe, suffered a 75:85 defeat against Kaunas' Žalgiris in the opening match of the Lithuanian Basketball League semifinal series.

The loss is particularly notable as it comes in the wake of Kullamäe's recent departure from the club. Lietkabelis will now need to regroup ahead of the remaining games in the best-of series to keep their title hopes alive against one of Lithuania's most decorated basketball clubs.
