Lawyer questions true destination of Henry Sildaru sponsorship funds

Estonian lawyer Kärt Pormeister has publicly questioned where snowboarder Henry Sildaru's sponsorship funds are directed. According to Pormeister's assessment, the contributions are channelled to the NGO Paeokka — the same organisation that businessman Urmas Sõõrumaa also called upon to receive donations.

The core issue lies in the fact that Henry Sildaru himself is not a member of the Paeokka board. This raises an important question: who is the true beneficiary of the funds, and are donors aware of this? For non-profit organisations, transparency is crucial, since donors expect their money to reach exactly where they intended.

Kärt Pormeister drew attention to the fact that the public may be misled into believing that the contributions go directly to the athlete. In reality, the funds are concentrated in an organisation whose management structure does not include the athlete himself. According to legal experts, such situations require complete clarity regarding the flow of funds and decision-making authority.

Urmas Sõõrumaa's call for donations to the NGO Paeokka gave the organisation considerable public attention. Yet the question remains: is the donation campaign based on Henry Sildaru's support sufficiently transparent, and have donors been properly informed about who will actually receive the money?
