Estonian volleyball player Märt Tammearu has decided to continue his career in Japan, starting his sixth consecutive season abroad this autumn. Having gained experience playing in Japan last season, Tammearu is returning to the same volleyball league for the second year in a row.

According to Tammearu, the Japanese league should not be underestimated, as its level is surprisingly high. The Estonian emphasizes that local competition is not significantly behind such renowned European leagues as Poland or Italy's top division, which are traditionally considered among the world's best.

A sixth season abroad marks for Tammearu a sign of a mature and consistent career, which has taken him to the leagues of various countries. Japan has proven to be a pleasant and athletically stimulating choice, allowing him to develop and gain experience outside the traditional European volleyball sphere.
