EstoniaAt the charity Pardiralli event, Janely Trahv spoke about her daughter Roosi, who has cancer. She described how the uncertainty surrounding the illness has been the hardest ordeal for her family.
Trahv emphasised that the support from the Parents of Children with Cancer Association was particularly important when Roosi was first diagnosed. "We needed support the most at that moment when everything started – uncertainty is the hardest thing," she explained.
The association has provided the family with both medication assistance and trauma therapy. The latter proved essential after Roosi's father died and the family had to respond very quickly to an extremely difficult situation.
Pardiralli is held annually in Estonia to support children with cancer and their families. The event brings together donors and supporters across the country, helping to raise funds for the activities of the Parents of Children with Cancer Association.
