Construction has begun on a new nature house on Vesilennuki Street in Tallinn, which will rise immediately next to the historic Lennusadam. The building will serve as an important centre for nature education and environmental topics.

The new house will accommodate subsidiaries of the Ministry of Climate, meaning that a substantial body of environmental expertise and administration will be consolidated under one roof. In addition to the government offices, the Natural History Museum will also find a home in the building, having previously operated from a separate location.

The move to new premises represents significant opportunities for the Natural History Museum – the building will house modern exhibition halls and storage facilities that will allow artefacts to be better preserved and presented to the public in an engaging way. The exhibition halls will make it possible to organize more extensive and diverse nature exhibitions than before.
