Ukrainian poster artist Nikita Titov, born in Jõhvi and educated in Virumaa, has been awarded the title of Honoured Artist of Ukraine by President Volodymyr Zelensky. The honour was presented on Sunday, 28 June 2026, on Ukraine's Constitution Day. Titov's exhibitions have been held in recent years in both Tallinn and Paide.

Titov has become one of the most prominent representatives of Ukrainian wartime poster art in recent years. His works have reached Estonia, with exhibitions held in both Tallinn and Paide, bringing his creations before many Estonians.

Although the artist was born in Eastern Virumaa and attended school in Virumaa, his creative work is connected to Ukraine. The state honour confirms that his contribution to Ukrainian cultural life and the shaping of wartime identity has been highly valued by the state.
