Rae Municipality dismissed Jüri School Principal Kriste Kaldi due to loss of trust. According to the municipality's spokesperson, an internal control review found that Kaldi violated operational restrictions that could have resulted in financial damage.

Rae Municipality Mayor Marju Aolaid confirmed that in addition to dismissing the principal, the municipality is initiating disciplinary investigation against Kriste Kaldi and filing a misdemeanor report with the prosecutor's office.

"Today we can say that, according to Rae Municipality's assessment, the former principal of Jüri School violated operational restrictions established by anti-corruption legislation, among other things. Therefore, she lost the trust of her employer," said Marju Aolaid. She added that at this early stage it is too soon to say whether the violation resulted in financial damage, and this question can be addressed in more detail after the disciplinary investigation is completed.

Aolaid stressed that the municipality cannot disclose the background of the decision in detail, considering possible investigative interests.

Kriste Kaldi's last working day is June 26, 2026. From June 29 to July 31, the school's financial director will perform the duties of Jüri School principal. Rae Municipality will announce a competition at the earliest opportunity to find a new school principal. Kaldi began leading Jüri School in July 2025.
