Rainer Saks: Russian army turns itself into a Ukrainian target
Security expert Rainer Saks writes that the Ukrainian army continues to conduct effective strikes against Russian military logistics. The most successful operations are in the south, but activity is also visible in the eastern Donbas region.
OpinionSecurity expert and member of the Conservative People's Party Rainer Saks believes that the Ukrainian army has begun systematically dismantling Russian supply chains, and this strategy can be considered one of the most effective tactics in the current war.
According to Saks, Ukrainian strikes against Russian logistics have been most successful in the southern sector. At the same time, video material showing attacks on Russian forces in the rear areas of eastern Donbas has appeared on social media, indicating that Ukrainian military pressure is expanding.
On the northern front, Ukraine has reported the fewest such operations, but Saks explains that this is not necessarily a sign of passivity-quite the opposite. Russian army activity there is lowest, which means there are fewer targets.
The expert emphasizes that Russian army operations themselves create the conditions that make them vulnerable. By concentrating logistics and supplies along predictable routes, the Russian military effectively paints a target on their own back, which Ukrainian drones and missiles do not fail to exploit.
