Rhodes keeps prices low in July: all-inclusive package under €600 per person

Greek island Rhodes is becoming a new summer favourite for Estonians. Thanks to increased flight capacity and fierce competition, all-inclusive packages under €600 per person are available during the summer season. July is traditionally the most expensive month for tourism in Europe, but Rhodes is a welcome exception. Travel experts recommend keeping an eye on this Mediterranean gem.

Culture

July is traditionally the most sought-after and expensive travel month in European tourism. Flight ticket prices rise, hotels fill up, and finding an affordable beach holiday seems like an impossible mission for many. Yet one Mediterranean island has managed to be a pleasant exception this summer.

Rhodes offers competitive prices at peak time

According to travel experts, the Greek island of Rhodes has managed to maintain surprisingly affordable prices even at the height of July, thanks to a significant increase in flight capacity and growing competition in the market. A solid all-inclusive package, with accommodation, food and drinks all included in one price, is currently available for less than €600 per person.

This is a remarkable result at a time when most popular Mediterranean destinations command significantly higher prices. In Rhodes's case, price pressure has been kept down by the opening of new flight connections and greater supply in the market, which forces service providers to compete on price.

Why Rhodes specifically?

Rhodes is Greece's fourth-largest island and offers visitors a diverse range of attractions: sunny beaches, a historic old town included on the UNESCO World Heritage list, rich local cuisine and vibrant nightlife. The island suits families, couples and group trips alike.

The local climate in July is warm and dry, with temperatures reaching 30 degrees. Those seeking refuge from the heat during the day can choose among numerous water parks and shaded cafés, where traditional Greek drinks such as cold frappe coffee or ouzo flavoured with aniseed are served.
