Rosenthal shines in Kalev/Cramo's wild Tartu final showdown
Kalev/Cramo guard Märt Rosenthal delivered his best personal performance of the finals series against Tartu Ülikool Maks & Moorits in Game 4. Despite nearly becoming the villain at the end of regulation, Rosenthal came through in a thrilling finish. Coach Toom joked afterwards that Märt gets to say what they messed up.
SportMärt Rosenthal turned in the standout individual performance of the Estonian basketball finals series in Game 4, as Kalev/Cramo faced off against Tartu Ülikool Maks & Moorits in what turned into one of the most dramatic matches of the season.
The Kalev/Cramo backcourt player came close to being remembered for all the wrong reasons, as a late-game moment at the end of regulation threatened to overshadow his otherwise excellent outing. Fortunately for Rosenthal and his team, the match swung in their favour as the drama unfolded.
Head coach Toom was in a light-hearted mood after the wild finish, quipping that Rosenthal has earned the right to talk about what the team nearly botched. The comment drew laughs and summed up the rollercoaster nature of the contest. It was the kind of remark that only makes sense after things work out — and this time, they did for Kalev/Cramo.
