The Governor of Tyumen Region, Aleksandr Moor, announced the introduction of the alert mode, emphasizing that this was a "preventive measure." According to him, there was no direct threat of strikes on the territory, however authorities deemed it necessary to warn the population.
This is the first such case for Tyumen Region — a region located deep in Western Siberia. Previously, rocket threat alerts were introduced primarily in Russian regions bordering Ukraine.
