Silicone breast implants make a comeback: cosmetic surgeons spot new trend
Despite a preference for healthy and natural appearance, breast implants have not lost popularity. According to cosmetic surgeons, women are increasingly seeking to enlarge their breasts or correct their shape. Finnish cosmetic surgeons have also noted this new trend.
CultureAlthough today's beauty ideal tends toward naturalness and slenderness, cosmetic surgeons' observations reveal the opposite trend – demand for breast implants continues to grow. Finnish publication Helsingin Sanomat reports that women are turning to clinics increasingly often with the desire to enlarge their breasts or change their shape.
Cosmetic surgeons confirm that this is a clear trend, not isolated cases. Among their patients are both those seeking implants for the first time and those who have previously had their implants removed and now wish to reshape their breasts again.
The trend is somewhat surprising, given the promotion of natural appearance in recent years. Movements emphasizing body positivity and natural beauty have gained popularity on social media, but it appears this has not slowed demand for cosmetic surgery – if anything, the opposite is true.
