Today's young people, known as Gen Z, don't deny the importance of marriage, but their attitude toward the wedding industry differs significantly from that of previous generations. A recent study cited by the New York Post highlights that Zoomers describe modern weddings with one word above all: overwhelming.

Although weddings remain an anticipated event in many people's lives, century-old traditions and societal expectations have generated more fatigue than excitement among Gen Z. The study reveals that younger adults are not opposed to the institution of marriage itself, but are tired of the wedding industry's inflated scale and inflated costs.

Zoomers value simplicity and authenticity, often preferring smaller and more personalized celebrations. Grand ceremonies with hundreds of guests and lavish arrangements feel to them more like a burdensome obligation than the fulfillment of a dream.
