Swimmer Maari Randvali Joins New Team Estonia Squad and Eyes USA
The Estonian Olympic Committee officially presented 11 athletes who have joined the new Team Estonia Noorte Tähed squad. Among them is talented swimmer Maari Randvali, who is breaking records and eyeing England as a preparation stage before the USA.
SportOn Friday, the Estonian Olympic Committee officially presented the roster of the new youth team Team Estonia Noorte Tähed ("Young Stars") for the first time. The team includes 11 promising athletes from the country, among which swimmer Maari Randvali stands out — a young talent who has already made a name for herself with a number of record-breaking results.
Randvali does not hide her ambitions: she calls her possible participation in England merely a transitional stage on the path to her main goal — sports in the USA. According to her, British experience should help her adapt to high international competition levels and prepare her for even more serious challenges across the ocean.
The creation of Team Estonia Noorte Tähed became part of the Estonian Olympic Committee's strategy for systematic support of promising youth. The program aims to provide young athletes with necessary resources, mentorship, and the opportunity to develop on the international stage while maintaining connections to the Estonian sports community.
