Tallink brings Romantika back to Tallinn-Stockholm route and promises affordable fares
Tallink Grupp is adding the cruise ship Romantika to the Tallinn-Stockholm route for the summer season, offering extensive entertainment programming. The company has reviewed its pricing following the addition of the extra vessel and promises to keep fares as affordable as possible. The summer season will also serve as a trial period to assess whether the route is worth continuing in the future.
EconomyTallink Grupp is adding the cruise ship Romantika to the Tallinn-Stockholm route for the summer season. The ship has undergone the necessary preparations to handle increased passenger demand. The company responded to growing interest in the vessel and refurbished it accordingly.
Large sun deck and diverse programming
Tallink Grupp representative Piret Mürk-Dubout highlighted Romantika's sun deck, which is the largest in the entire fleet. "Certainly the sun deck, which is our fleet's largest. There's plenty of space, activities, entertainment and enjoyment. I hope the summer nights will be beautiful and bright. Baltic Queen also has a lovely sun deck, but Romantika's is simply bigger, allowing for more events, more dancing and more enjoyment," said Mürk-Dubout.
Throughout the summer, the ship will offer diverse programming: live bands, DJs, shows, karaoke, silent discos and themed parties. A separate children's area is provided for the youngest family members.
Prices reviewed
The addition of a second vessel also affects pricing, and Tallink promises to keep tickets as affordable as possible. "When the second ship was added, we reviewed our prices and aim to be as competitive as we can be, so that starting fares are affordable for families. Sweden has also become a very affordable destination-whereas previously Swedes would visit Estonia, now it's rather the opposite. We're also running many special offers for the summer," Mürk-Dubout explained.
Trial period for the route's future
Romantika's summer route is also a trial period for Tallink, during which it will assess demand between Estonia and Sweden. "There hasn't been this level of demand in autumn and winter, but now we're seeing how the summer season takes off. If we see sufficient interest from Estonian, Swedish and international passengers, we're interested in continuing the route. For now it's only on sale for the summer period," she added.
After the summer season, the ship's future deployment will depend on market conditions. As one possibility, Romantika may be used for winter charter services elsewhere in Europe.
Tallink Grupp's summer season message emphasises a sea voyage as an experience in itself. "The sea itself is the destination. Come and enjoy, because this summer is Visit Sea, where you can experience the sea, sea views and entertainment," Mürk-Dubout invited passengers.
