Tallinn's Midsummer Bonfire Featured Bubble Bath Football Viewing

For the first time, Tallinn residents were able to celebrate Midsummer at the Song Festival Grounds near their homes, where top Estonian artists performed. Among the festivities, football fans also found their place, unwilling to miss World Cup matches. The event combined the midsummer bonfire and sports celebration in the form of bubble football football.

Tallinn's Song Festival Grounds hosted its inaugural Midsummer bonfire celebration this year, giving city residents the opportunity to mark Midsummer without travelling far from home. A large crowd gathered to enjoy performances by Estonia's finest artists.

What made the event special was that the midsummer festivities did not have to compete with the football World Cup, quite the opposite, in fact. On the festival grounds, an inflatable bubble football had been set up where enthusiastic football fans could watch World Cup matches from within the partying crowd.

"Football is better than …", this is how some of the fans who attended described their experience, suggesting that watching sports in the bubble football turned out to be one of the evening's most memorable activities. Sport and Midsummer traditions found common ground this time around.
