EstoniaTartu City Government has initiated a detailed plan that opens the way for more extensive development of the Jaamamõisa district. According to the plan, residential apartment buildings and a business building are to be constructed on 4.7 hectares.
The Jaamamõisa district is a unique area in Tartu — unlike other parts of the city, it remained completely unfinished throughout the Soviet period. The new development offers an opportunity to finally fill this gap and give the district a unified and completed appearance.
The implementation of the detailed plan depends on subsequent procedural stages, including public display and coordination. If all stages succeed, Jaamamõisa could become one of Tartu's newer and more fully-fledged residential neighborhoods.
