Ukrainian sentenced to two years in prison in Estonia for fraud scheme
Tallinn Court sentenced 25-year-old Ukrainian citizen Viktor Dolinski on 22 June for fraud that caused damage of over 140,000 euros to 21 victims. The man received a two-year custodial sentence and after serving his sentence will be expelled from Estonia with a five-year entry ban.

According to the court's assessment, Dolinski participated in a criminal scheme in which he either withdrew cash or used bank cards and transferred the obtained money to third parties. In total, 21 people fell victim to his actions and the damage caused exceeded 140,000 euros, which the man is obliged to compensate.
Prosecutor's statement
Regional prosecutor Siret Vaher-Torn stressed that this court decision is part of a broader national message to fraudsters. "This and other recent court rulings show that the state takes fraud-related crimes and their punishment seriously," she said.
Expulsion and entry ban
Dolinski, who had no previous convictions, was also given an additional consequence in addition to his prison sentence: after serving his sentence, he will be expelled from Estonia and subject to a five-year entry ban. The court ruling has not yet entered into force.
