Viljandi Has Kebab restaurant came under intense scrutiny on social media when an anonymous post about alleged food poisoning appeared last week in the Facebook group "Spotted in Viljandi." The post's author stated that they ordered french fries and meat from the restaurant on the evening of 11 June, and after a few hours, both diners had to seek help at the emergency medical care department.

"We ordered fries and meat from Has Kebab on 11.06 in the evening. Now we're sitting in the emergency room. After a few hours, we were both so ill that we were racing to vomit," wrote the post's author. The author added that if any other person experienced similar symptoms that same evening, it was likely a case of food poisoning.

However, Has Kebab stated that no customer or anyone else has filed a direct complaint with them. "We have not received direct complaints or feedback from a customer regarding illness or a visit to the emergency medical care department. Although we treat feedback regarding health and safety with absolute and maximum seriousness, we have no data or evidence that such an incident occurred as a result of our food," explained a restaurant representative.

The restaurant suggests that it may be a case of an unhappy customer exaggerating. "Without direct communication or an official complaint from the involved party, it is difficult to speculate about their motives. Since no one has contacted us directly to report this, it is entirely possible that this is an exaggeration or an unsubstantiated claim made out of frustration," the representative noted.

The restaurant emphasized that its operations are based on strict and standardized protocols, and the agricultural and food board recently conducted an inspection of their premises. The board's assessment found that everything fully complied with health requirements.
