EestiThe Võrtsjärv-Emajõgi-Peipsi (VEP) water trail network is set to begin its sixth consecutive season of organised inland water excursions in June, offering nature enthusiasts a series of themed trips across Estonia's most iconic waterways.
The network links three of Estonia's major bodies of water — Lake Võrtsjärv, the Emajõgi River, and Lake Peipsi — forming one of the country's most diverse inland water corridors. The seasonal programme is designed to introduce participants to the natural, cultural, and ecological highlights found along these routes.
Themed excursions allow participants of varying experience levels to explore Estonia's inland waters in a structured and informative setting. Organisers aim to make the trips accessible to both seasoned paddlers and first-time visitors to the region's waterways.
Now entering its sixth year, the VEP water trail initiative has grown into a recognisable fixture of Estonia's outdoor recreation calendar, drawing participants from across the country each summer season.
