Wednesday up to 18 degrees, end of week up to 25 degrees

On Wednesday, a low-pressure system over the Baltic Sea will bring rain primarily to eastern Estonia, while the western coast will remain mostly dry. Daytime temperatures will reach up to 18 degrees. In the second half of the week, the weather will warm significantly, with Sunday potentially reaching up to 25 degrees.

On Wednesday, the main part of the low-pressure system covering the Baltic region will be centred over north-western Russia, bringing rain clouds to both Finland and the eastern Baltic states. A high-pressure ridge from the south extends into Scandinavia, keeping rain clouds away from the western parts of the Baltic states.

Wednesday morning will be cloudy with occasional rain in eastern Estonia, while western Estonia will have variable cloud cover. Winds will blow from the north-west and west at 5-10, gusting up to 13 m/s, with up to 15 m/s along the coast. Morning temperatures will range between 12-15 degrees.

During the day, rain will spread from eastern Estonia towards the south and west, and in places the precipitation may be heavy. The islands and the western mainland coast will have minimal cloud cover with little significant precipitation. North-westerly and westerly winds will blow at 5-11 m/s, gusting up to 20 m/s on the coast. Daytime temperatures will be 13-18 degrees.

In the evening, cloudy and rainy conditions will continue in eastern Estonia, while western Estonia will clear up with no precipitation. Winds will be moderate to strong, with temperatures of 13-16 degrees.

Real summer warmth expected at week's end

Over the coming days, cloud cover will be minimal and variable. On Thursday, showers will occur only in the afternoon and in scattered locations, on Friday already in several places. Saturday will see showers in places, but Sunday will be more widespread with a threat of thunderstorms.

Temperatures show a clear upward trend: Thursday averaging 20 degrees, Friday 21, Saturday 23, and Sunday up to 25 degrees.
