Southern Estonian gravel roads have once again become a playground for world-class rally drivers as WRC title contenders have begun an intensive testing period ahead of Rally Estonia. The event starts in just under two weeks, and the top drivers want to familiarize themselves and their cars as thoroughly as possible with local conditions.

Sébastien Ogier opened the testing days first, a driver who is among motorsport's most successful rally drivers with nine world championships to his credit. The Frenchman appears to have his sights set on a tenth title, as he made clear during testing that he remains ready for a title fight and is actively thinking about the world championship trophy.

Rally Estonia is traditionally one of the fastest and most demanding rounds on the WRC calendar, organized around the quick and undulating gravel roads of Southern Estonia. Estonian fans eager to savour home advantage will soon witness the world's best drivers compete head-to-head.

Testing on Estonian roads is particularly important for drivers, as rallies take place here under unique conditions, high-speed stages characteristic of this terrain, densely forested sections and fast jumps demand specific car setup and driving technique. Several drivers have said that Rally Estonia is among their favourite rounds precisely because of these conditions.
