Yasmyn dreams of a cheeky Christmas concert tour

Estonian singer Yasmyn revealed on ERR's R2 radio station that she's been considering organising a Christmas tour featuring bolder and sexier Christmas songs. She also admitted that every artist dislikes some of their own songs, and for her that's "I Like U a Lot".

Estonian pop star Yasmyn visited the R2 breakfast show "R2 Hommik!" where she shared her thoughts on future plans and the everyday life of a musician.

The singer revealed that she's been developing an idea for a Christmas tour with a different flavour. "In some ways, it's good to have choice. I've even had the idea of doing a Christmas tour with all those songs that other Estonian female artists haven't dared to do. To pick some sexier Christmas songs-and there are plenty of those. Probably won't be doing that concert in a church, or maybe it would be a cheeky evening in a church-that would be quite cute," Yasmyn chuckled.

When putting together a concert setlist, she follows two criteria: which songs the audience enjoys and which are her own favourites. According to Yasmyn, a concert needs to start with "a proper bang", get quieter in the middle, and end with energy again.

Surprisingly, she admitted that there's one of her own songs that she doesn't particularly like. "I think every artist has some song of their own that they hate, mine is 'I Like U a Lot'. We never do that song in rehearsals, but at a concert it's a very fun song and we have no problem performing it," the singer explained, adding that she enjoys watching the audience sing along.

Yasmyn also talked about her night owl habits, typically waking up around 11 or 12 o'clock and going to bed around 3 or 4 in the morning. "That's my biggest problem-I get home after a long day and then I just scroll through some TV series until 2am, then I hang out with my husband until 4am," she said.

She doesn't listen to much Estonian music daily, but highlighted three names she keeps an eye on: Kitty Florentine, Rita Ray and Reti.
